Create human-scale holographic experiences with the 86″ Hololuminescent™ Display (HLD) — the flagship of faytech’s Hololuminescent™ line, powered by Looking Glass light-field technology and co-branded with the recognized leader in holographic visualization. At 86 inches in portrait orientation, the display renders 4K UHD content (2160×3840) with the appearance of three-dimensional spatial presence — content can extend up to ~60 cm of virtual depth in default configuration, and over 1 meter in custom hologram configurations. Critically, the holographic effect is group-viewable without any tracking camera, AR glasses, or VR headset — multiple people can view the dimensional content simultaneously from natural viewing positions, making this the right product for showroom floors, retail flagships, lobbies, museums, and trade-show centerpieces.

The razor-thin form factor (38 mm display profile, 70 mm with touch) is genuinely remarkable at 86″ scale — most large holographic displays require deep optical chambers, while this unit can be wall-mounted via VESA 600 × 600 with bottom surface support or installed freestanding with the included floor stand. The 10-point infrared multi-touch system supports natural interaction with the 3.2 mm anti-glare glass front. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, and modern USB-C (DP Alt Mode). Includes a pre-loaded demo media player to showcase the technology immediately on installation. Certifications (CE, FCC, RoHs) available June 2026.

The 86″ Hololuminescent™ Display (HLD) is the flagship and human-scale entry in faytech's Hololuminescent™ line — a holographic light-field display engineered for the experiences that no other display format can deliver. Powered by Looking Glass light-field technology, the display renders content with the appearance of three-dimensional spatial presence: objects, people, and scenes appear to occupy real volume within the screen, with up to ~60 cm of default virtual depth and over 1 meter in custom hologram configurations. At 86 inches in portrait orientation, the scale is human-sized — full-figure subjects, life-scale products, and architectural elements can be presented in dimensional form for the first time without requiring viewers to wear AR glasses or VR headsets, and without limiting the experience to a single tracked viewer.

This last point is the differentiator that makes the 86″ HLD viable in commercial environments where competing dimensional display technologies are not. The viewing mode is group-viewable, with no tracking camera, AR glasses, or VR headset required. Multiple people can stand in front of the display simultaneously, from natural viewing positions, and all see the holographic effect — without instrumentation, without per-viewer calibration, without the hygiene and friction issues of shared headsets in public settings. For retail, hospitality, museums, trade shows, and any environment where holographic content needs to be experienced by groups of customers, students, or visitors throughout the day, this property makes the difference between a workable installation and a science-fair demo.

The display panel is an 86″ TFT-LCD delivering 2160×3840 (4K UHD) native resolution in portrait orientation, with 400+ nits brightness, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit color depth (1.07 billion colors), and 178°/178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. The 60 Hz refresh rate with 8 ms response time delivers smooth presentation appropriate to designed dimensional content. The display interface is V-by-One, supporting reliable high-bandwidth signal transmission for 4K light-field rendering, and LED lifetime is rated at 30,000 hours (to be confirmed). The 10-bit color palette is meaningful for light-field rendering: dimensional content depends on accurate color reproduction across the entire viewing cone, and 10-bit color eliminates the banding artifacts that 8-bit panels produce in gradient-rich holographic content.

Touch interaction is handled by an infrared 10-point multi-touch system — the correct technology choice at 86″ scale, where projected capacitive touch becomes prohibitively expensive and adds optical thickness that would compromise the light-field rendering. IR touch supports natural finger, gloved, and stylus interaction, with the touch surface protected by 3.2 mm anti-glare glass and IK7 impact rating appropriate to controlled retail and exhibition environments. faytech's Clear Bond® optical bonding eliminates the air gap between the touch overlay and the display panel — critical for holographic displays, where any optical artifact between the viewer and the panel degrades the dimensional illusion.

The form factor is genuinely remarkable for a display in this category. The display-only profile is just 38 mm, and with the IR touch overlay the total depth is 70 mm. Most holographic and dimensional display technologies require deep optical chambers — 200+ mm is common, and some installations require dedicated rooms — but this unit's slim profile enables installation patterns that the competitive set cannot support: flush wall mounting in retail flagships, integration into lobby architecture, transport into trade-show booths in standard freight crates, and freestanding placement in spaces where bulkier hardware would dominate the room. Mounting options are free-standing on the included floor stand or wall-mounted via VESA 600 × 600 with bottom surface support. The chassis is aluminum frame with steel back, finished to commercial-installation aesthetic standards.

The display has no built-in PC controller — content is driven by an external media source connected via HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, or USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode). The inclusion of USB-C with DP Alt Mode is notable: it means the display can be driven directly from modern laptops, Apple devices, and content-production workstations without dock or adapter hardware, simplifying both demo workflows and operational content updates. A USB-A port provides 5V/3A charging for accessory devices, and 3.5 mm AUX out supports external speakers or sound systems.

Demo Media Player included: The 86″ HLD ships with a pre-loaded demo media player containing holographic content ready to display on installation. This is an important practical consideration — Hololuminescent™ content requires authoring or processing through the Looking Glass pipeline, which is a meaningful learning curve for first-time buyers. The included demo content lets installations begin demonstrating the holographic capability immediately, while the buyer's content production workflow comes online. Custom content development, Looking Glass SDK integration, and content production partnerships are available through faytech and Looking Glass.

Important integrator note: Hololuminescent™ light-field rendering at 4K resolution and 86″ scale requires a capable external GPU and the appropriate Looking Glass software pipeline (Looking Glass Bridge, Looking Glass SDK, or compatible content tooling). 4K light-field rendering is a meaningfully heavier workload than 1080p, and the larger viewing cone of the 86″ display benefits from purpose-authored content. Confirm content production workflow and the technical requirements of the Looking Glass platform with faytech and Looking Glass before deploying at scale. Conventional 2D video will display on the panel but will not produce the holographic effect; the Hololuminescent™ presentation requires content authored or processed for light-field rendering.

The display operates on 100–240V AC mains power with under 2 W in standby. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C with 20–80% humidity tolerance, appropriate for the climate-controlled indoor retail, hospitality, and exhibition environments this product is designed for. The display is intended for indoor use and must be protected from direct sunlight, which can push the device beyond its specified storage and operating temperatures. Operation outside specified temperature ranges is not covered by warranty.

Certification status: CE, FCC, and RoHs certifications are listed as Available June 2026. Buyers in regulated markets that require these certifications for installation should confirm timing with faytech sales before ordering, particularly for deployments in European Union markets (CE-required) and US installations in regulated environments (FCC). Early-adopter buyers in non-regulated markets or pilot deployments may proceed pending certification.

Hypothetical Application Scenarios

Flagship Retail – Life-Scale Product Storytelling: Picture a fashion flagship where the 86″ Hololuminescent™ display renders a full-figure model wearing the season's hero look — visible from across the store floor, in dimensional form, drawing customers from the entrance to the featured collection. The group-viewable property is essential: a single customer doesn't have privileged viewing, so the display works in the busy environment where retail flagships actually operate. Touch interaction lets customers explore the collection: tap to change colorways, tap to switch styling, tap to view the runway show that introduced the piece. The 38 mm display-only profile mounts flush against a wall feature without dominating the space.

Hospitality – Lobby Centerpiece & Brand Statement: Luxury hotels, resort properties, and design-led hospitality brands can install the 86″ HLD as a lobby art-and-information piece at architectural scale. The dimensional effect transforms a stationary lobby moment into something visitors photograph and share, with content rotating between hotel signature objects, property heritage, local culture, and concierge information. The razor-thin 70 mm profile allows the display to integrate as wall architecture rather than reading as a screen mounted to the wall. The group-viewable property means multiple arriving guests experience the effect simultaneously.

Automotive Showrooms – Vehicle & Component Showcases: Premium automotive brands can display vehicles, performance components, and powertrain elements as life-scale dimensional renderings at dealership reception, brand experience centers, and major auto shows. The 86″ portrait orientation suits tall vehicle profiles (SUVs, trucks, performance coupes from elevated angles) at impressive scale, and the 4K resolution with 10-bit color reproduces paint colors, interior materials, and chrome details with the fidelity these brands invest in. Customers can rotate through configurations and trims with touch interaction, while the group-viewable display lets a family or sales pair experience the configuration together.

Museums & Cultural Institutions – Human-Scale Dimensional Visualization: Cultural institutions can use the 86″ HLD to display dimensional reconstructions of historical figures, life-scale artifacts that cannot be safely exhibited in person, archaeological sites at architectural scale, or scientific specimens that benefit from dimensional inspection. The portrait orientation suits standing figures, monumental objects, and tall artifacts. The group-viewable property is essential for museum contexts where school groups, families, and tour groups need to experience the content together without instrumentation. The 30,000-hour LED lifetime supports continuous museum operation.

Trade Shows – Booth Anchor & Demonstration Centerpiece: Major exhibitors at industry events — CES, NRF, IFA, automotive shows, medical device conferences, architecture and design fairs — can use the 86″ HLD as the centerpiece that draws foot traffic from across the hall. The "what is that?" conversion moment that trade-show budgets exist to produce. The razor-thin profile fits standard exhibition freight crates and modular booth builds; the included demo media player ensures the display is operational from setup day without dependency on the booth's content-production pipeline.

Real Estate, Architecture & Property Marketing: Premium real estate offices, architectural firms, and property developers can display dimensional renderings of properties and developments at life-scale — letting prospects walk up to a building, examine the entry sequence, rotate through views, and experience time-of-day lighting changes at appropriate scale. The 4K resolution and 10-bit color reproduce architectural renderings at the fidelity these firms expect from their visualization investment. The 86″ display becomes a sales tool that justifies premium positioning in luxury real estate markets.

Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Scientific Showcases: Major medical device manufacturers, pharma companies, and scientific instrument makers can display devices, molecular structures, surgical procedures, and anatomical models as life-scale dimensional content at trade shows, corporate visitor centers, and medical education facilities. The visualization adds clinical and scientific credibility to presentations that flat-panel video cannot match. The group-viewable property is essential for medical education contexts where multiple students or clinicians need to learn from the same dimensional content simultaneously.

Entertainment, Studios & Media Brand Activations: Film studios, streaming platforms, gaming companies, and music labels can use the 86″ HLD for character reveals, IP showcases, fan experiences, and immersive brand activations. Dimensional representations of characters and worlds provide a connection between the screen-based IP and the physical fan experience that traditional video walls cannot deliver. The group-viewable property supports the queue-and-experience pattern of consumer entertainment activations.

Corporate Lobbies & Executive Briefing Centers: Major corporations can install the 86″ HLD in headquarters lobbies, customer briefing centers, and executive reception areas to display product roadmaps, brand narratives, and visitor-specific personalized welcomes at architectural scale. The dimensional effect communicates innovation investment and design seriousness in ways that conventional digital signage cannot. The slim wall-mount profile integrates with corporate architecture rather than disrupting it.

As with all faytech interactive platforms, the 86″ Hololuminescent™ Display supports customization options including custom hologram depth configurations (extending virtual depth beyond the 60 cm default to over 1 meter), software integration, and bespoke content development support in partnership with Looking Glass.
