Showcase full-scale physical merchandise inside an interactive 4K transparent display with the 86″ Interactive Transparent LCD Lightbox (TV6180). At 1895 × 1066 mm viewing area and 2080 mm overall height, the lightbox is sized for life-scale exhibits: mannequins, motorcycles, sculptures, large industrial products, and walk-up retail showcases. The transparent TFT-LCD panel delivers 3840×2160 resolution with 178°/178° viewing angles, 1.07 billion colors, and 1,200:1 contrast, allowing physical items inside the chamber to remain fully visible while interactive content, branding, and product information layer on top — producing a true merging of digital and physical merchandising. faytech’s Clear Bond® optical bonding eliminates the air gap between the touch surface and the LCD panel for improved clarity and durability.
The 10-point infrared touch panel delivers <6 ms response, unlimited lifetime touch points, and 4.0 mm toughened glass with IK08 impact protection — appropriate for high-traffic public installations. The lightbox is configurable with optional internal PCs (Mini-ITX Intel® Core™ i5 or Intel® Celeron® J4125, both with 8 GB RAM and Windows 10/11) for self-contained operation, or can be driven by external content via 2× HDMI inputs. The cabinet ships on stable omnidirectional wheels for easy repositioning and includes a lockable back door with two keys for secure access to displayed merchandise. CE and FCC certified, rated for 18 hours/day × 7 days/week of operation.
The 86″ Interactive Transparent LCD Lightbox (TV6180) is a large-format showcase display engineered for retailers, exhibitors, and cultural institutions who need to merge a full-scale physical product with a touch-enabled transparent screen. Unlike the tabletop and pedestal transparent displays that handle small merchandise, this 86″ unit is sized for life-scale exhibits: a complete mannequin in seasonal fashion, a motorcycle on a showroom floor, a sculpture in a gallery, a piece of industrial equipment at a trade show, a luxury appliance in a flagship store. The displayed item is placed inside the chassis chamber — clearly visible through the transparent 4K panel — while interactive content plays on the screen surface, layering brand storytelling, technical specifications, animated demonstrations, and touch-driven exploration on top of the actual product.
The 86″ transparent TFT-LCD panel delivers 3840×2160 (4K UHD) resolution across a 1895.04 × 1065.96 mm viewing area, with 300 cd/m² brightness, 70% NTSC color saturation, 1.07 billion colors, and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio. The 178°/178° viewing angles ensure the display remains color-accurate from approaching foot traffic — critical at this scale, where viewers will see the screen from varying angles throughout the customer journey. LED life is rated at 30,000 hours and the LED backlight is mounted to the side of the panel rather than behind it, which is what creates the transparent effect: there's no opaque backplane blocking the view of objects placed inside the cabinet. Display interface is V By One with an 8 ms response time and 60 Hz refresh rate.
The lightbox runs on a BSCZ® TV6180 monitor controller with standard firmware, supporting Standard, Soft, Custom, and Bright image modes. It is configurable in two distinct ways depending on integrator preference. Configuration 1 – External Content Source: Drive the display from your own PC, media player, or signage controller via the two HDMI inputs, with USB available for touch return. This is the right choice for organizations with existing digital signage infrastructure or in-house custom application stacks. Configuration 2 – Integrated PC: Add an optional internal PC mounted inside the cabinet, eliminating external cabling and creating a self-contained display. Two optional internal PC platforms are available:
- Mini-ITX Intel® Core™ i5 / H610 — 8 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD, Intel® AC 3168 Wi-Fi, Windows 10/11. Appropriate for graphics-rich content, real-time animations, 3D product configurators, and applications that benefit from i5-class compute.
- Intel® Celeron® J4125 / H610 — 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, Intel® AC 3168 Wi-Fi, Windows 10/11. A cost-effective choice for digital signage workflows, looping promotional content, and basic touch-interactive applications.
For interaction, the lightbox uses a 10-point infrared touch panel — the appropriate technology for displays of this size, where projected capacitive touch becomes prohibitively expensive and adds unnecessary thickness. Infrared touch supports the full 32767 × 32767 position grid with interpolation algorithm enabled, achieving <6 ms response time and 90% touch accuracy (±2mm based on touch area). The minimum touch object size is 3.0 mm, supporting precise styluses as well as fingers and gloved hands. Lifetime touch points are rated as unlimited. Output mode is HID Standard, so the touch interface works natively with Windows, Linux, and Android host systems without driver installation. The 4.0 mm toughened glass with IK08 impact protection tolerates high-traffic public use, and faytech's Clear Bond® optical bonding between the touch sensor and the LCD panel reduces internal reflections and improves contrast under retail lighting.
The chassis is constructed from sheet metal finished in black as standard, with white available optionally — important for matching the aesthetic of luxury retail and gallery environments where black industrial enclosures clash with the surrounding design. External dimensions are 1250.0 × 2080.0 × 50.0 mm, with the unit free-standing on stabilizing feet and equipped with stable omnidirectional wheels for repositioning. This mobility detail is operationally important: at ~200 kg net, the cabinet cannot be lifted, but the omnidirectional wheels allow trade show staff and retail teams to move the unit between display zones without forklifts or pallet jacks. A lockable back door with two included keys secures the cabinet — essential when the displayed merchandise has retail value (luxury fashion, watches, premium spirits, electronics). IP40 rating covers indoor dust ingress.
Audio is handled by two integrated 10W loudspeakers — significantly more powerful than the 2W speakers typical of smaller lightboxes — appropriate for the larger floor area this unit will command. The lightbox runs on 100–240V AC working power, consumes 480 W in operation, draws under 1 W in standby, and includes a green LED power indicator. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 60°C with 20–80% humidity tolerance during operation. Maximum service time is rated at 18 hours per day, 7 days per week — appropriate for typical retail hours, extended hospitality lobby operation, and continuous trade-show days, but not for true 24/7 unattended deployment. Plan ~6 hours of daily downtime into installation schedules. CE and FCC certifications are included.
Important deployment note: the transparent panel is intended for indoor use and must be protected from direct sunlight, which can push the device beyond its specified storage and operating temperatures. Direct exposure through unfilmed storefront windows or skylit atria is not recommended and is not covered by warranty.
Hypothetical Application Scenarios
Flagship Retail – Featured Mannequin Showcase: Picture a luxury fashion flagship where the season's hero look is dressed on a mannequin placed inside the 86″ lightbox. Customers approach a complete head-to-toe styled outfit, fully visible through the transparent display, while the 4K screen layers garment provenance, runway video, designer commentary, and "shop the look" interactive selectors on top. Touching individual pieces on screen highlights them on the physical mannequin (via synchronized cabinet lighting). The lockable back door allows daily merchandise refreshes without compromising security, and the omnidirectional wheels let visual merchandising teams reposition the showcase for different seasons or product launches.
Automotive Showrooms – Motorcycles, EV Components & Performance Parts: Premium motorcycle dealers (Ducati, Harley-Davidson, BMW Motorrad), e-bike retailers, and automotive OEM brand experience centers can use the 86″ lightbox to showcase a complete motorcycle, electric scooter, or major component at scale. The transparent display overlays performance data, configuration options, and animated mechanical explanations (engine cycles, suspension geometry, EV powertrain energy flow) directly aligned to the physical product. The Mini-ITX i5 internal PC option handles the real-time 3D rendering these brands typically require. The 18h/7-day service rating covers full dealership operating hours.
Museum Installations – Costume, Armor & Large Artifact Display: Cultural institutions can use the lightbox to display historical costumes, period armor, ceremonial regalia, archaeological assemblies, or scientific specimens at full scale while the touch screen overlays multilingual interpretation, period photography, animated reconstructions, and conservation x-rays. The infrared touch technology supports gloved interaction (important for staff demonstrations in conservation contexts) and the IK08 cover glass tolerates touch from school groups. The lockable back door protects irreplaceable artifacts during open hours. The Celeron J4125 PC option provides sufficient compute for museum interpretive content while keeping costs aligned with institutional budgets.
Trade Show & Auto Show Centerpieces: Exhibitors showcasing large products — appliances, machinery, prototype vehicles, defense and aerospace components, oversized consumer goods — can use the 86″ lightbox as a booth centerpiece that combines physical presence with screen-driven narrative. The omnidirectional wheels are particularly valuable in trade show contexts: the cabinet can be repositioned between halls or moved into shipping crates without specialized handling. Two HDMI inputs allow rapid switching between presentation, demo loop, and lead-capture content throughout the show day.
Luxury Hospitality Lobbies & Resort Centerpieces: Boutique hotels, resort properties, and design-led hospitality brands can install the lightbox as a lobby art-and-information piece — showcasing local heritage objects, signature property artifacts, or branded environmental design at scale. The white chassis option suits luxury interior schemes that reject industrial aesthetics, and the integrated PC handles property-specific content management without external media players cluttering the lobby. At 18 hours/day service rating, the unit accommodates typical hospitality lobby operating windows.
Sporting Goods & Outdoor Retail – Equipment Showcases: High-end ski, cycling, surfing, and outdoor gear retailers can display flagship products — complete mountain bikes, skis with bindings, technical jackets on full mannequins — inside the lightbox. The screen overlays material technology explanations, athlete endorsements, video of the gear in use, and interactive product configurators. Touch-driven exploration replaces the wall-of-text product specs that typically clutter premium outdoor retail environments.
Distilleries, Wineries & Spirits Retail – Heritage Bottle Displays: Premium spirits brands, distilleries, and wine merchants can showcase rare bottles, limited editions, or signature SKUs inside the lightbox while the touch screen tells the production story — barrel programs, harvest data, master distiller interviews, terroir maps. The lockable back door protects high-value liquid inside. The lightbox transforms a stationary bottle into an interactive storytelling moment that justifies premium pricing.
Aerospace, Defense & Industrial Trade Showcases: Manufacturers exhibiting at industry events — turbine sections, defense components, scientific instruments, large semiconductor or precision machining samples — can use the lightbox to combine the physical specimen with detailed technical interpretation. The 4K resolution renders engineering schematics and CAD overlays at the scale visiting engineers and procurement officers expect. The Mini-ITX i5 option handles the technical animation and simulation common to these industries.
