There are three components that work together to create the magic of touch screen capability: the touch sensor, the controller, and the software. The touch sensor can be one of three types: Capacitive, Resistive or Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW).

Capacitive systems use a layer of capacitive material which changes the amount of electrostatic charge at the point where contact has been made, depending on the sensitivity it can work in rainy environments or with gloves. Today, this is the most common and reliable touch technology in the market and can often be found on our faytech devices due to it’s easy use and great performance.
